Your Public Image Committee is developing a strategy to build increased awareness for Rotary within the District with the express goal of increasing membership, increasing attendance at Rotary club fundraisers and functions including youth programs.
Specifically, our strategy is to develop a multi-media PR plan to commence early in FY ’18. This plan to include a multipage newspaper insert which will be inserted in either a regional paper or local community papers in early fall 2018. It will include stories about Rotary and its foundation, a listing of all club related events planned for the coming year including the Foundation Dinner.
Those stories could include, Polio, RYLA, Interact, Peace Scholars, the Foundation and its ranking, the 4-way test, our worldwide service projects and our local ones, who we are and the value of doing business with a Rotarian.
Reprints from the Rotarian magazine and other Rotary stories should be considered including amazing personal stories like PDG Denny’s. If community papers are employed, consider regional stories. One story should list club meeting locations, dates and membership chairs. A digital version and social media will also be deployed.

Advertising in this piece will also get them advertising in the District Conference, Foundation Dinner and the Awards and Guards programs
The Governor’s Citation will include bonus points for selling advertising and providing club fundraising events in a timely fashion for the calendar.
