Welcome to the 2018-2019 Rotary Year!
The Rotary Foundation is a 501C3 organization which is governed by a Board of Trustees. This Rotary year, the Foundation Trustee Chair is Ron D. Burton past RI President.
He has listed the four core priorities. Our first priority is the ending of POLIO. As you know, we made a promise to end this disease but we need your assistance.
The second priority is the sustainability of our service efforts within the six areas of focus. We really need to understand what our local and international community’s need to be self-sufficient.
The third priority is for our District to use all its District Designated Funds for District Grants, Global Grants or Polio Plus. As you may know, our District donates 20% of our DDF to Polio. This year our District Grants are totaling $70,000. We still have DDF left to sponsor some Global Grants.
The last priority is to build our Rotary Foundation to $2.025 billion by 2025. Our goal for this year is $380 million. What a great legacy, Rotarians can leave.
Remember we need to “BE THE INSPIRATION” to better our world.
Thank you, Jo Weber, PDG, District Rotary Foundation Chair
Only God achieves the impossible, but The Rotary Foundation achieves the best that mankind can possibly achieve.
